We came here a few times across our three visits to the Indian capital and it always succeeded in being a calming reset after the hubbub and frenetic pace of the city outside. The tombs of the garden are amazing, huge structures fantastically preserved and open to the public. Delhi however has a softer side, it is a surprisingly green city once you get out of the old town, full of beautiful manicured parks and leafy suburbs. So, one must visit the garden early in the day if by car, because soon all parking places get occupied. While the Lodhi Garden remains open throughout the year, the best time to visit is from October to March.

Shisha Gumbad is situated adjacent to the Bara Gumbad, it is an interesting blend of Hindu and Islamic architectural styles. Although there is no identified grave, it is believed that someone with a significant stature is buried inside this tomb. The interior of the tomb is adorned with stucco work and has captivating paintings. This imposing structure takes a square form, crowned by an expansive dome and resides on the northeastern side of Muhammad Shah’s tomb.
